Two-vehicle collision at Little Walden
A man was taken to hospital earlier today (Friday) following an RTC on the B1052.
A rapid response vehicle with paramedic John Hammond on board was dispatched following the call at about 9.57am, and he was on the scene about five minutes later, backed up by a Saffron Walden crew and the fire service.
John said: "A lorry and a van had collided on the narrow bridge close to Stone Bridge Farm. The van driver, a local man in his early 30s, suffered a suspected fracture to his left wrist and he was taken to Addenbrookes Hospital.
"The lorry driver was unhurt. We alerted the fire service as some fuel had been spilt and the road was closed for about an hour afterwards."
